WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE REDEEMED?

REDEMPTION.
Ephesians 1:7 ESV
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,”
Colossians 1:13-14 ESV
“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
When I think about redemption the first thing that comes to my mind is what Jesus did on the Cross. He gave his life & shed His blood in order for us to be reconciled to our Father in Heaven. Without His blood as atonement, we have no relationship with God. We have no salvation. We have no entry into Heaven without His sacrifice. Not only have I been redeemed, but the Lord is reviving so many things in my life that I thought had died or become dormant. The word of God says, “that He who began a good work in you will continue to perfect & complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.” .. Man God saved me, I didn’t grow up in the Church. I got homies locked up facing life that might never see the free world again. I have friends that died by the gun & I used to be right there with them. My life as a whole is proof of the Grace of God. He kept me & protected me privately, it’s only right that I glorify his name publicly. Im a new creation. Ive lost it all, went & got it back.. Lost it all again & ran it back up. I got my hands on just about all of the material things they told me would fulfill me & I gotta be honest.. No amount of money, cars, jewelry, girls or attention can compare to being in relationship with God.. Stop being so in a hurry. Enjoy the journey. 1 day at a time, 1 foot after the other. God is not expecting perfection from you apart from Him. Surrender. Give the Lord your life. He will empower you & take better care of you than you could’ve yourself. Redemption..
